President Edgar Lungu has officially re-opened Victoria falls to the Public
The President of Zambia his Excellence Edgar Lungu has opened Victoria falls to the public after it was closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
President Lungu said that he wants key sectors of the economy running but while observing the new normal of following Covid-19 health guidelines.
He also added that the government will give incentives to sectors such as tourism in order to help it grow and sustain the available jobs.
“The minister of finance will be briefed on which reliefs to give to the tourism sector” he said.

The President also took a tour around the hotels in Livingstone where he was told how the owners are incurring losses because there are no tourists to book rooms and other facilities.
The Minister of Tourism Ronald Chitotela said that the President’s action to open up the sector will help save many jobs.
Hon Chitotela also went ahead and assured President Lungu that the sector will adhere to the new normal.
